Lower Saucon Township to Host Drive-Thru E-Waste Collection Event
MONTREAL (RecyclingMonster): A community recycling event scheduled for September 19, 2026 will give Lower Saucon Township residents an opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted electronic items.
The drive-thru collection event, organized by the township's Environmental Advisory Council (EAC), will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Public Works Garage within the municipal complex on Old Philadelphia Pike in Bethlehem. Free Electronics Accepted at No Cost
The event will accept a wide range of electronic devices, with some items collected free of charge. The items that can be recycled free of cost include laptops, tablets, desktop computer towers, servers, mobile phones, hard drives, cords, cables, and telephones.
Fees Apply to Selected Appliances and Devices
There will be a recycling fee for certain appliances and electronic products. For instance, there will be a recycling fee of $25-$45 for televisions depending on size, $55 for projection TVs, $20 for multifunction printers, and $5 for microwaves and stereo speakers.
Smaller fees will also apply to items such as vacuum cleaners, humidifiers, keyboards, gaming consoles, and radios.
What the Event Will Not Accept
The event will not accept materials containing Freon, biohazardous waste, or radioactive substances. Payments must be made in cash or by check payable to Clean Earth.
