SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Prevail Bank will host a community collection event on July 23. The event, open to residents of Stevens Point, will provide them with an opportunity to recycle unwanted household electronics free of charge. The recycling drive will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the bank's branch located on Windy Drive.
The event is being organized in partnership with certified electronics recycling company, First Choice, which will be responsible for responsible recycling of the collected materials. The company will ensure that all data stored on electronic devices are securely erased at its certified processing facility, before being destroyed.

Residents can bring a wide range of personal household electronics, including televisions, computer monitors, laptops, desktop computers, printers, mobile phones, tablets, keyboards, speakers, hard drives, cameras, DVD players, VCRs, radios, docking stations, and cables.
However, the event will not accept certain materials such as batteries, light bulbs, household appliances, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, hazardous waste, scrap metal, and electronic equipment generated by businesses.
The Stevens Point event is part of a broader recycling initiative by Prevail Bank to encourage responsible e-waste disposal across central Wisconsin. Similar collection drives have also been scheduled in Medford on July 21 and Marshfield on July 22.
