SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Bradford National Bank will host its annual Spring Shredding and Recycling Day on May 9, offering the community a free and secure way to dispose of sensitive documents. The event will run from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the bank’s Highland location, continuing a long-standing initiative focused on data security and environmental responsibility.
Now in its 16th year, the program allows residents to safely shred items such as bank statements, canceled checks, tax records, bills, and investment documents. All shredding will be conducted on-site by a licensed and bonded service provider, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with secure disposal standards.
To streamline the process, the event will feature contactless drop-off. Participants can place documents in their vehicle’s trunk or back seat, and trained staff will handle the shredding without requiring attendees to step out of their vehicles. Organizers advise removing large binder clips, plastics, and electronic media beforehand, as these materials cannot be processed.
According to bank officials, the initiative reflects a continued commitment to protecting personal information while promoting responsible recycling practices within the local community.
