SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): The City of Toledo has announced the launch of its new Clean Toledo Recycling Center, a permanent facility aimed at enhancing year-round recycling and waste disposal services for residents. Located at 3900 Creekside Avenue, the center will officially open to the public on June 2, 2026.
The self-service facility will operate from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, and will be accessible exclusively to Toledo residents upon proof of residency. The initiative expands the city’s Clean Toledo program by offering a reliable alternative to seasonal drop-off events traditionally held during summer.

Designed for efficiency and convenience, the center allows users to unload materials independently, while on-site staff will supervise operations, ensure compliance, and provide assistance when necessary. The facility will accept a wide range of materials, including electronics, scrap metal, appliances without refrigerants, food waste, recyclables, yard waste (excluding grass clippings), and gently used items for donation.
However, household hazardous waste and tires will not be accepted at the site. Instead, residents can utilize designated special collection events scheduled on June 13, August 15, and October 3 at specified locations.
The new center underscores Toledo’s commitment to sustainability, improved public services, and environmental responsibility.
