SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Building on 30 years as North America's leading battery recycling program, Call2Recycle has officially rebranded as The Battery Network, reflecting its evolution from a collection program into a nationwide system powering the circular energy economy.
The new name highlights the organization’s mission to connect the entire battery lifecycle, promoting safe recycling, efficient logistics, and recovery of critical materials like lithium, cobalt, and nickel.
CEO Leo Raudys emphasized that The Battery Network now goes beyond collection, “keeping critical materials in circulation, reducing fire risks, and strengthening America’s energy independence while protecting people and the planet.”
With the rise of electric vehicles, e-bikes, and smart devices, the organization collects and recycles millions of pounds of batteries annually through over 20,000 U.S. collection sites, including Best Buy, Home Depot, and Lowe’s. Today, 80% of Americans live within 15 miles of a drop-off location, making responsible recycling accessible nationwide.
The Battery Network also supports manufacturers and retailers navigating battery recycling legislation, ensuring compliance, safe handling, and recovery of valuable materials.
The rebrand, designed with Pentagram, introduces a refreshed logo and visual identity, reinforcing The Battery Network’s commitment to safety, sustainability, and innovation in next-generation e-mobility and EV battery solutions.
