SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Thompson Fabrication, a top producer and distributor of waste equipment containers, has purchased Midwest Dakota Dumpsters (MDD), located in Castlewood, South Dakota. MDD, a prominent waste container company, was established in 2022. The deal was finalized on October 1, 2025.
The acquisition is a major step in Thompson Fabrication's previously revealed strategic growth plan to increase its presence in the rapidly expanding waste equipment industry. Following the sale, Thompson Fabrication's current platform will incorporate MDD's operations, personnel, and facilities. In the meanwhile, MDD will keep using its well-known trademark going forward.

Thompson Fabrication CEO Mark E. Stulga commented on the acquisition, saying it will enable the business to cover the whole Midwest region at a reasonable cost and let it greatly grow its footprints. Its goal is perfectly aligned with the acquisition of MDD, which will allow it to better assist haulage firms, he noted.
"This is an exciting new chapter for the entire team and its customers," stated Rod Dehne, MDD's general manager. By joining Thompson Fabrication, the business will have access to more resources, improving its capacity to support the hauling sector. Furthermore, it will enable the business to provide its current clients improved services, he continued.
