SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): On Monday, the City of Franklin announced the start of a new glass recycling initiative. This new program has been on the City's radar for a number of years. Residents of the County will be able to dispose of their glass bottles and jars in recycling bins with a significantly shorter commute.
To process the glass objects that are collected, the City has contracted with a recycling company. Consequently, after the bin is filled, the business will buy the supplies. For each tonne of the waste, the City will receive payment ranging from $5 to $10. The samitation department will be able to cover its operating expenses thanks to this. Additionally, by lowering the quantity of waste that is dumped in landfills, the program will contribute to cost savings.

Franklin's Sanitation and Environmental Services Department can recycle a wide range of materials, including curbside service for commonly used goods like cans and plastic bottles, according to Nate Ridley, director of sanitation and environmental services for Franklin. Additionally, a range of items can be dropped off at the Franklin site on Century Court, Ridley added.
