SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): The Town of Perinton has announced the return of its annual Community Recycling Day, scheduled for May 16, 2026, offering residents convenient and environmentally responsible disposal options. The event will take place from 7:45 AM to Noon at the Perinton Department of Public Works.
Town Supervisor Jenn Townsend said the initiative underscores the town’s commitment to environmental stewardship by helping residents safely dispose of materials that require special handling, particularly during spring cleaning.

The event will feature free electronics recycling in partnership with EWASTE+, accepting items such as televisions, computers, monitors, printers, phones, and small household electronics. Secure, on-site document shredding will also be provided by Shred-Text, with a limit of 4–5 boxes per vehicle.
In addition, household hazardous waste collection will be conducted in collaboration with Monroe County. This service requires prior appointments and allows residents to dispose of various hazardous materials safely.
The event aims to reduce landfill waste and promote sustainable community practices.
