SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Residents looking to safely dispose of leftover paint will have an opportunity to do so during a free recycling event scheduled for Saturday, Mar. 14, 2026, in Kent.
The City of Kent, in partnership with GreenSheen Paint, will host a Free Paint Recycling Event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hogan Park at Russell Road.
The event invites community members to bring unused or leftover paint for proper disposal and recycling.
Organizers say the event is designed to keep paint and related materials out of landfills while giving residents a convenient way to recycle household paint products responsibly.
“Help us keep paint out of landfills,” organizers said in event information announcing the program. “Bring your leftover paint for proper disposal and recycling.”
The event is open to the public and welcomes anyone interested in responsibly disposing of unwanted paint.
The recycling event is part of an ongoing effort by the City of Kent and GreenSheen Paint to promote environmentally responsible disposal practices and reduce waste from home improvement projects.
