SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): ERG Environmental (ERG), a hazardous waste solutions business based in Michigan, was acquired by Arcwood Environmental. Arcwood's operating footprints throughout the Great Lakes region will be further strengthened by the deal.
Following the deal, ERG's field staff and leadership group will join Arcwood's Midwest operations. ERG stated that it hopes the acquisition will provide its clients with more resources and a wider range of services. ERG's former president, Erik Thayer, said that the company will be able to scale its influence by joining Arcwood.
"ERG brings a strong culture of compliance and a deep understanding of regional environmental challenges," said Chris Dlugolecki, Senior Vice President of Service Delivery at Arcwood Environmental. He continued by saying that ERG's experience will improve its capacity to provide challenging industrial clients with the greatest levels of safety and service.
Along with other specialized services, ERG provides a comprehensive range of waste management and remediation services, including as sampling, laboratory analysis, trash characterization, packaging, manifesting, transportation, and disposal.
