SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): The plastics recycling business Resynergi, based in Sonoma County, has announced plans to relocate from Rohnert Park, California to a new facility outside of the state. The goal of the change is to increase its processing capacity in order to satisfy the rising demand. The next stage of the company's growth strategy is represented by the decision to depart California.
The new site will be situated in an area designated for industry. It will have the infrastructure and scale required to meet the constantly rising demand for recycling plastics. The company's sustainable expansion will be supported by tax and economic development benefits offered by the new location.

In order to extend operations at a site from SOMO Village, Resynergi has been requesting a permission. Community residents, meanwhile, had voiced serious worries about possible effects on the environment and public safety. Because the facility is within a few hundred feet from a high school, the locals voiced their opposition to it at public forums and started an online petition.
Brian Bauer, the CEO of Resynergi, denied that the plant would endanger the health or safety of local residents, although he did admit that the company's choice to move was influenced by public opposition.
